Create local news for CityNews 24/7 in Toronto as a part-time Multimedia Content Creator, using writing, research, and video editing skills.
At Rogers Sports & Media, this role supports a continuous, multi-platform newsroom. You will develop journalistic content from conception through broadcast or publishing for digital properties and television. The work includes editorial judgment, interviews, fact checking, and digital storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create informative news content for digital and broadcast platforms
- Research, pitch, chase, and interview story sources
- Write, proofread, and copy-edit television and digital content
- Vet breaking and enterprise news, including video and audio
- Create video content from raw media to final product
Requirements:
- Creative vision and keen editorial judgment
- Superior writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Basic still and video photography skills
- Ability to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts
- Canadian criminal record check required
