Project Manager - Water Treatment Industry

My client is a well-branded and respected organization whose sole purpose is to design and install high-purity water system applications for the healthcare industry. They are currently seeking a highly engaged Project Manager to lead the execution of high-purity water system installations across Canada. This individual will take full ownership of projects from fabrication through commissioning and customer sign-off, ensuring a seamless transition to the service team. The Project Manager is accountable for budget, schedule, and quality performance, while providing direct leadership to a small, talented group of project technicians and engineers.

Areas of Ownership

• Manage fabrication and installations from purchase order through start-up/commissioning, including warranty resolution.
• Oversee job costs and budgets, ensuring projects remain on track and within target margins.
• Lead, manage, and hold project technicians accountable for their duties, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Deliver capital projects from post-engineering review through customer sign-off and training.
• Lead and coordinate multiple projects across Canada, including subcontractor oversight and vendor coordination.
• Own project schedules, budgets, change orders, and customer expectations, reporting progress throughout.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure timely material delivery and accurate invoices.
• Produce and distribute required documentation and training materials, supported by engineering as needed.
• Ensure a seamless handoff to the service team following commissioning.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience managing complex construction or technical installation projects, ideally in healthcare or water treatment.
• Strong customer-facing presence: able to engage confidently with hospital administrators, consultants, and contractors.
• Demonstrated discipline in timelines, budgets, and accountability.
• Technical fluency with mechanical/electrical drawings and construction coordination.
• Skilled leader with the ability to mentor and hold field staff accountable.
• Adaptable, positive, and committed to excellence under pressure.
