Medical Office Assistant

Position Summary:
Nest Health Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Office Assistant - orthopedic to oversee the daily operations of our growing multidisciplinary medical facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing both administrative and operational functions while ensuring a smooth, patient-centered care experience.
Coordinate surgical bookings & requests for diagnostic tests & procedures
Check patients in/out, record height & weight for new patients, and see patients to examination rooms
Manage patients medical records using EMR (Ayra)
Proof-reading of consultation & clinic notes
Assist with patient record requests
Tidy and stock patient rooms
Sort incoming mail
Create office forms and spreadsheets
Maintain and optimize the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and security.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to improve workflow and patient care delivery.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and safety protocols.
Develop and implement clinic policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
Previous experience in healthcare or clinic management strongly preferred.
Knowledge of billing processes, healthcare compliance, and EHR systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical management software.
