Greenery Maintenance Coordinator

Are you looking for an early morning role, spending the time watering beautiful flowers and greenery? We’d love to talk to you about walking the sunny cobblestone streets and laneways of the Distillery District and watering all of the plant life through the summer months.
If you’re interested in this role, it’s likely due to the fact that you’re a morning person! Your day would start on site around 7am. By 12 noon, you’ll be free to head home for a siesta, perhaps, and then enjoy the remainder of your day.
This role is available now, and we won’t be using AI to choose our candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing with Us:

• Watering all of the plants throughout the distillery and on our restaurant patios.
• Keeping all planters looking their best by clearing away dead flowers and leaves as necessary.
• Caring for equipment, and reporting necessary repairs.
• Managing the sage use of the equipment while in use and ensuring the safety of the general public while on site (basically, making sure people don’t trip!)
• Exterior property upkeep, including
• Assisting with garbage/recycling cleanup when needed
• Assisting with general property tasks as assigned

What You’ll Bring to the District:
HEAPS OF INTEGRITY. You’re largely working on your own with little supervision. You must be someone who finds their drive to do a great job from within. You’re responsible, reliable, punctual and safety-minded.
FEATS OF STRENGTH. This job will require heavy lifting – literally. You have the ability to perform physical labour and general maintenance tasks.
SOCIAL SKILLS. You’ll have people asking you for directions around the site or to take their family vacation photo in the Distillery District, and you genuinely enjoy being part of making people’s day brighter!
EXPERIENCE. Ideally you’ve worked in landscaping before, and you know what you’re saying “yes” to! Previous property maintenance experience is an asset, but not required.

Extra Notes:
This is a part-time position of approximately 25 hours per week – Monday-Friday.
Tasks will vary depending on the property and the needs of the day. This role is best suited for someone who is hands-on, flexible, and comfortable helping with different types of maintenance, landscaping, cleaning, and general labour work.
You must have legal permission to work in Canada.
