Job Responsibility:
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery by assisting with food preparation, baking, and ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong understanding of food handling practices in a kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of various baked goods, including breads, pastries, and cakes.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency in product quality.
- Help with cake decorating and presentation to meet customer specifications.
- Package baked goods for sale while ensuring proper food safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations.
- Support the head baker in inventory management by tracking supplies and ingredients.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food handling environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cake decorating techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality baked goods.
- A passion for baking and willingness to learn new skills is highly valued.
