Director of Flight Software Engineering at Canada Rocket Company

Be a key player in aerospace innovation as the Head of Flight Software with Canada Rocket Company. Lead the development of the software that will power Canada’s first medium-lift launch vehicle.
In this strategic role, you’ll manage the full flight software lifecycle while molding a talented software engineering team. You will focus on architecting robust and reliable systems, ensuring that mission requirements are translated into effective software solutions. Partner with avionics and GNC teams to integrate software functionalities that meet critical performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and lead the flight software development strategy
• Architect and build embedded software solutions
• Collaborate on hardware-software integration efforts
• Implement navigation and control algorithms in flight software
• Manage software standards for safety and performance
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in embedded software roles
• Expertise in C/C++ in real-time environments
• Strong background in embedded system interfaces
• Proven track record in team leadership
• Effective collaboration across technical domains
