JOB PURPOSE

This is supervisory clinical and technical work responsible for diagnostic radiography services in one or more facilities in an area/zone. Work involves supervising, coordinating, and overseeing operational functions of the service and providing expertise to staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be registered with the New Brunswick Regulatory College of Medical Radiation Technologists.
• Minimum of three (3) years progressive related experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supervisor - Medical Radiological Technology is responsible for:

• Supervise day to day operations including scheduling of staff
• Triage, schedule patients and assign work.
• Participate in performance appraisals.
• Train and mentor new staff and students; support staff educational opportunities.
• Provide clinical expertise to staff, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders.
• Assist with development and implementation of policy and procedures and ensure adherence.
• Manage inventory and supplies and liaise with vendors and purchasing department.
• Performing the work of a Medical Radiation Technologist
