Job Overview

The Kensington Screening Clinic is a state-of-the-art ambulatory GI Endoscopy Centre/Infusion Clinic and Research Centre. We make use of the latest in technology to provide world class, individual and timely care to our patients in need of GI Endoscopy/Infusion Services.

Kensington Screening Clinic and Kensington Infusion Clinic is seeking two experienced casual Registered Practical Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide Patient-centered quality care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

• Must maintain patient confidentiality and integrity policy on all matters involving Kensington Infusion Clinic and Kensington Screening Clinic.

• Maintain accurate and complete records.

• Assist with Endoscopic Procedures and/or Recovery of Patients.

• Assist with pre and post procedures in an endoscopy setting.

• Being accountable for one’s decision and professional practice.

• Good communication skills of English both in verbal and written.

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Must be available for shifts Monday to Saturdays, on a casual basis.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills of English both in verbal and written.

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience in Endoscopy, Infusion and Gastroenterology.

• Continuous clinical development/competency. 

• Excellent communication skills are a must. 

• Evidence of good working ethics and an excellent attendance record.

Required Professional Designation/Certificate:

• Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario. 

• Current BCLS is mandatory requirements. 

• Membership in local professional associations.

Others:

• Willing to work flex hours to meet facility needs.

• Preference will be given to candidates with previous Endoscopy and Infusion experience.
