Senior Software Engineer (Customer Platform)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve customer-facing backend services and public APIs shared across multiple products and customer segments.
• Own features end-to-end from design and implementation through rollout and iteration.
• Create technical design documents and drive design plans independently.
• Partner with Product Management, designers, and the Experience front-end team to prioritize tradeoffs and deliver product features.
• Build services that are observable, resilient, and suitable for production cloud-native environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
• Proficiency with Go (Golang) or strong readiness to ramp up quickly.
• Experience designing, implementing, and evolving public APIs, including versioning, backward compatibility, authentication, and usability.
• Familiarity with microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across product lines and functions.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced remote startup environment.
• Preferred: experience building platform or shared services across multiple products or customer experiences.
• Preferred: experience in cloud-native, containers, security, or the broader CNCF ecosystem.
• Preferred: meaningful open source contributions, particularly as a maintainer or regular contributor.
