We are looking to fill the position of Security Officer at Fernie Alpine Resort. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, independent worker, physically capable of working outdoors in a mountain resort environment with a customer service orientation. You Will
- To ensure public and personal safety at all times
- Ensure compliance of RCR Covid-19 safety protocols.
- Offer a high degree of guest service
- Assist with any security issues
- Conduct walk-through checks on all resort buildings as per shift schedule
- Conduct drive-through checks on all resort parking lots and roadways as per shift schedule
- Conduct daily inspections of all on mountain facilities
- Conduct risk assessments and safety checks.
- Complete incident reports as required
- Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
- Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
- Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
- To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
You Have
- Previous experience in safety related role, an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, independent worker
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be competent skier
- Ability to maintain confidentiality required

Schedule: Will likely be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7am - 5pm. Including cover for night shifts from 5pm to 3am for at least 6 weeks of the season.
Please note: This is a summer seasonal position with the opportunity to extend for the right person.
