Senior Civil Engineer Substation Design

Lead substation civil design for Qualus from Vancouver or Calgary, applying Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and stormwater modeling expertise.This Senior Engineer role supports Qualus’s T&D Canada business and reports to the Director of Engineering. You will design utility substation infrastructure, review technical work, and coordinate civil project delivery. The position covers grading, drainage, earthworks, access roads, oil containment, and related site systems.Key Responsibilities:
Design civil infrastructure for utility substation facilitiesPerform analyses using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic toolsPrepare design reports, specifications, and field review documentsReview vendor and contractor documents against project standardsCoordinate civil scope, schedules, budgets, and resourcesRequirements:
Civil Engineering degree from a recognized universityCanadian P.Eng. designation or eligibility with EGBCAt least 12 years of civil engineering design experienceUtility substation design experience across major site systemsKnowledge of Canadian codes, regulations, and utility standardsApply civil engineering leadership, substation design expertise, and technical review skills to Qualus infrastructure projects in British Columbia or Alberta.
