Service Technician - Langley

SCOPE OF JOB

As a new and cutting-edge electric automobile brand in North America, we are looking for high caliber Service Technicians. In this role, your expertise will be relied upon to diagnose and perform a wide range of automotive service and mechanical repairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

· Ability to effectively diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive service, mechanical, electrical, and software issues

· Promptly and efficiently perform all necessary work as stated in work orders

· Frequently communicate with Service staff on all work required to ensure alignment on timelines and expectations

· Obtain parts from parts department and return parts as required

· Escalate and clearly communicate all difficult repairs to the Lead Technician to ensure prompt solutions

· Maintain consistent understanding and compliance with VinFast policies and procedures

· Adhere to all safety and security regulations in the workplace

· Constant learning and upgrading of knowledge base via VinFast training and courses

· Ability, at times, to discuss issues with customers in a professional and courteous manner

· Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy

· Other related duties as required

WHAT YOU BRING

· A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, previous experience with an electric automobile brand preferred

· Provincial Red Seal certification (or equivalent)

· Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract/record

· Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle components, past Electric Vehicle experience an asset

· Experience with electrical diagnostics and understanding of wiring diagrams

· Flexibility to work retail business hours, including Saturdays
