Superintendent (Laval)

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Field Operations, the Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management of operations on assigned job sites. They oversee work teams, coordinate subcontractor activities, and ensure compliance with plans, schedules, and safety standards on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure proper planning of work on the job site
• Maintain a constant presence on site to supervise work and resolve technical issues
• Supervise and lead work teams, including both subcontractors and JCB employees
• Plan requirements for materials, equipment, and labor
• Update project schedules
• Work collaboratively with the Project Manager
• Inform the Project Manager of any major changes that could impact the project
• Monitor and control labor hours (both internal and contracted) and submit time reports to the payroll department
• Welcome all site stakeholders in accordance with established health and safety procedures
• Ensure all activities comply with the company’s health and safety standards
• Review subcontractors’ safety and prevention documentation
• Take weekly photos to document project progress
• Maintain documentation of work progress by completing daily reports
• Perform any other related duties as required

Required Qualifications

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in construction or a related field
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
• Broad experience with new construction, major renovations, and large-scale interior fit-out
• Experience supervising large-scale projects ($10M+)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office tools
