Ankura is recruiting a Managing Director to support its Canadian construction-disputes and advisory practice. The posting lists Toronto, Vancouver and Ontario. The director will work with Canadian leadership on practice strategy and the development of client relationships, while leading technical work on construction claims and delay.Responsibilities include analysing schedule delays, cost overruns and productivity problems, and providing independent opinions on cause and effect. The director will set engagement strategy, oversee consulting assignments and check that the resulting work reconciles claim amounts and withstands scrutiny. The role also includes mentoring analysts and associates, developing professional relationships and contributing to industry organisations, papers or conferences.Candidates need a relevant bachelor's degree and at least ten years of disputes or claims consulting experience in construction and engineering. An advanced degree or professional certification is preferred. The employer requires expertise in delay analysis and forensic scheduling, advanced Primavera P6 skills and experience developing or analysing delay models.Applicants should have an established presence in Toronto's legal and construction community and a record of winning work through professional networks and delivery. Clear communication with lawyers and those deciding disputes is also required.
