Recruiter & talent network builder

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Recruiter & Talent Network Builder based in Canada. This remote role combines full-cycle technology recruiting with long-term talent network development. You will source, engage, evaluate, and place technology professionals across client and internal opportunities. A major focus is building and maintaining a warm bench of pre-qualified consultants who can be mobilized quickly. You will work closely with Growth, Delivery, and Resourcing teams to anticipate hiring needs before positions formally open. The role also involves developing strong relationships across the Canadian technology community and staying informed on market trends. Success means creating a responsive, trusted talent network that supports fast staffing while delivering a positive candidate experience. You will join an international, collaborative environment spanning Canada, the US, and Latin America. \n Accountabilities: - Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding hiring requirements and sourcing candidates through screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding handoffs. - Source and engage technology professionals across data, AI, cloud, software engineering, automation, delivery, and related areas through proactive outreach and strategic talent sourcing. - Assess candidates for technical capabilities, client suitability, communication skills, and overall alignment with role requirements. - Coordinate interview processes, prepare candidates, facilitate timely communication, and provide appropriate follow-up throughout the hiring process. - Build and maintain a warm bench of pre-vetted, available, and interested consultants aligned with core service areas and anticipated client demand. - Maintain regular and meaningful relationships with consultants, past candidates, former contractors, and strong previous applicants to keep the talent network engaged and current.

- Partner with Growth and Resourcing teams to anticipate upcoming demand and develop candidate shortlists before roles are formally opened. - Expand relationships within Canadian technology communities through meetups, industry events, user groups, alumni networks, referrals, and other professional channels. - Keep candidate profiles, skills, rates, availability, and other relevant information accurate and searchable within recruiting systems. - Monitor Canadian technology talent trends, compensation and contractor rate benchmarks, and relevant hiring regulations, sharing insights that can inform recruiting strategy and workforce planning. - Collaborate closely with hiring managers, Delivery, Growth, and Resourcing to ensure recruitment priorities remain aligned with business and client needs. Requirements: - 3+ years of recruitment experience, including at least 2 years focused on IT or technology hiring, ideally within consulting, professional services, or staffing environments. - Demonstrated success with headhunting, proactive sourcing, and candidate outreach. - A strong and active network within the Canadian technology community, with experience building talent pools, benches, or long-term candidate pipelines rather than focusing only on individual requisitions. - Strong relationship-building skills and a natural ability to connect with people, understand their motivations, and maintain professional relationships over time. - Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes while efficiently maintaining and developing a growing talent network. - Familiarity with Canadian employment practices, including employee and independent contractor engagements. - Experience using an ATS or CRM and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in recruitment, HR, or a related field. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and follow-up skills.
