About the Job \n
\nThe Registered Nurse: \n
\nPractices in a perinatal clinical setting and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care \n
\nWorks in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team \n
\nEnsures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs \n
\nDemonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities \n
\n
This is a Relief Full Time (1.00 FTE) opportunity until January 13, 2027, or the return of the incumbent. \n
\n
Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30 hours. \n

About this Location \n
\nRoyal Inland Hospital (RIH) is in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap health service area and is one of two Interior Health tertiary referral hospitals. \n
\n
\nLocated in Kamloops, RIH offers high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services. Specialty services include ambulatory psychiatry, elderly mental health, clinical nutrition, and lung health. \n
\n
\nAs part of the Women’s and Children’s Health Services team, you will work to care for a variety of patient types from preterm to adult, following them through their individual journey’s. Ante-/intra-/post-partum patients.  We will soon be in our new state-of-the-art Tower in which we will be able to provide care in private family room spaces and we will be connected to our amazing new NICU space, improving care needs! \n

Education days and unit orientation are imperative to ensure that you feel prepared to care for our diverse patient population.   Our team works very closely with a variety of experts, including our multidisciplinary team, and we learn from our physicians, obstetricians, pediatricians, midwives, social workers, dieticians etc. \n
