Senior DevOps [#4994]

Alteo is looking for a Senior DevOps for a permanent position based in Montreal.

*** Hybrid: 6 days in the office per month ***

You will be responsible for implementing and executing business solution architecture plans that address the evolving needs of existing solutions and those to be deployed, while adhering to the target architecture and IT master plan. You will also be responsible for maintaining and implementing the business solution architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead for the industrialization and automation of solution deployment
• Actively contribute to the feasibility, design, and implementation phases of various software development and integration projects, while adhering to industry-standard principles of solution architecture, infrastructure, and software
• Be able to establish and recommend secure, reliable, and high-performance IT solutions that meet business needs
• Promote the reuse of proven solutions to optimize the quality of services and operations
• Serve as a consultant and act as a resource person and coach for senior management and future leaders
• Actively participate in and lead solution testing, as well as the deployment of the cloud environments necessary for system delivery
• Perform quality assurance on the documentation of proposed architectural alignments as part of the implementation of the IT strategic plan
• Design technology infrastructures with a focus on functional requirements, scalability, overall performance, and security requirements
• Work closely with managed service providers to ensure the delivery of a high-performance infrastructure
• Participate in the diagnosis and resolution of complex operational issues 24/7 as needed;
• Participate in risk and cost-benefit analyses.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in IT and solutions architecture
• Extensive and in-depth expertise across multiple technology and/or business domains, covering aspects related to data, applications, and infrastructure
• Ability to implement and champion all principles related to DevOps and SRE practices
• Possess excellent analytical and synthesis skills and the ability to make recommendations
• Demonstrate versatility, proactivity, and autonomy in the daily performance of duties
• Exercise inspiring leadership with stakeholders from various business sectors and multidisciplinary teams
• Possess knowledge of AGILE and SAFe development methods and their fundamental lifecycle principles
• Be a good listener and have a solid understanding of business challenges
• Possess expertise as a developer, integrator, and solutions operator who has contributed to the feasibility, design, implementation, and delivery phases of large-scale business solutions of comparable scope
• Infrastructure / Cloud Computing:
  • Automated deployment of robust solutions on one of the leading cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Delivery of solutions on Kubernetes
  • Cloud networking expertise, including WAF, DNS, DDoS
• SDLC:
  • IaC deployment (Infrastructure as Code, Terraform)
  • Automation of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (GitHub, ArgoCD/GitOps, SonarQube, etc.)
• Software and integration:
  • Expertise in one of the API gateway services (e.g., Apigee, Traefik, API Gateway, Kong)
  • Knowledge of C#, JavaScript, and related frameworks
  • Software engineering principles and design patterns for automating delivery (distributed architecture, microservices architecture, API integration, event-driven and streaming architecture, etc.)
  • Software development methods and principles (TDD and code coverage, OWASP, peer review)
  • Operational knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, caching)
  • SaaS integration principles
• Knowledge of privacy laws, IT security rules, and guidelines (a plus)
• Knowledge of Fluentbit, Prometheus, and Grafana (a plus)
• Fluency in French (spoken and written)

Vous serez responsable d'implémenter et de réaliser les plans d’architecture de solutions d’affaires répondant aux besoins changeants des solutions déjà implantées, de solutions à déployer tout en respectant l’architecture cible et le plan directeur TI. Vous serez aussi responsable du maintien et de l’implémentation de l’architecture des solutions d’affaires.

Responsabilités:

• Agir à titre de responsable de l’industrialisation et de l’automatisation du déploiement des solutions
• Contribuer activement aux phases de faisabilité, de conception et de réalisation de divers projets de développement et d’intégration de progiciel, tout en respectant les principes d’architecture de solution, d’infrastructure et logiciel de l’industrie
• Être capable d’établir et recommander des solutions TI sécuritaires, fiables et performantes qui répondent aux besoins d’affaires
• Favoriser la réutilisation de solutions éprouvées en permettant d’optimiser la qualité des services et des opérations
• Exercer un rôle d’expert-conseil et agir à titre de personne-ressource et de coach auprès de la haute direction ainsi qu’aux personnes de la relève
• Participer activement et piloter les expérimentations des solutions, ainsi que la mise en service des environnements infonuagiques nécessaires à la livraison des systèmes
• Réaliser l’assurance qualité de la documentation des alignements architecturaux proposés dans le cadre de l’implantation du plan stratégique TI
• Concevoir des infrastructures technologiques en se préoccupant des besoins fonctionnels, des capacités d’évolution, de la performance globale et des exigences de sécurité
• Travailler de concert avec les fournisseurs de service d’infogérance afin d’assurer la livraison d’une infrastructure performante
• Participer au diagnostic et à la résolution de problèmes opérationnels pointus 24h/7j au besoin;
• Participer aux analyses de risques et de coûts/bénéfices.

Profil:

• BAC en TI, Génie logiciel ou l'équivalent
• 7-10+ années d’expérience pertinente en TI et en architecture de solutions
• Expertise étendue et approfondie de plusieurs domaines technologiques et/ou d'affaires et la couverture d'aspects touchant les données, les applications et les infrastructures
• Savoir mettre en place et évangéliser tous les principes liés à la pratique DevOps et SRE
• Posséder d’excellentes habiletés d'analyse, de synthèse et habilité à faire des recommandations
• Démontrer de la polyvalence, proactivité et de l’autonomie dans la réalisation quotidienne de ses fonctions
• Exercer un leadership mobilisateur auprès d’intervenants de différents secteurs d’activités et d’équipe multidisciplinaires
• Posséder des connaissances des méthodes de développement AGILE, SAFe et de ses principes fondamentaux de cycle de vie
• Avoir le sens de l’écoute et une bonne compréhension des enjeux d’affaires
• Posséder une expertise comme développeur, intégrateur et opérateur de solutions ayant contribué dans les phases de faisabilité, de conception, de réalisation et à la livraison de solutions d'affaires à grande échelle et d’envergure similaire
• Infrastructure / Infonuagique :
  • Déploiement automatisé de solutions robustes chez un des principaux fournisseurs infonuagiques (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Livraison de solutions sur Kubernetes
  • Expertise réseautique infonuagique, incluant WAF, DNS, DDoS
• SDLC:
  • Déploiement IaC (Infrastructure as Code, Terraform)
  • Automatisation des pipelines d’intégration et livraison continue (CI/CD), (GitHub, ArgoCD/GitOps, SonarQube, etc.)
• Logiciel et intégration:
  • Expertise dans l’une des services de passerelles d’API (ex : Apigee, Traefik, API Gateway, Kong)
  • Connaissance des langages C#, Javascripts et des frameworks liés
  • Principes de génie logiciel et patrons de conception afin d’automatiser la livraison (architecture distribuée, architecture en microservices, intégration par API, architecture événementielle et streaming, etc.)
  • Méthodes et principes de développement logicielles (TDD et couverture de code, OWASP, Revue par les pairs)
  • Connaissance opérationnelle des technologies de base de données, relationnelle et non relationnelle (SQL, NoSql, Caching)
  • Principes d’intégration de SaaS
• Connaissance de la loi portant sur la protection des renseignements personnels, des règles et directives en matière de sécurité informatique (atout)
• Connaissance de Fluentbit, Prometheus et Grafana (atout)
