Engineering Manager - Safety and Licensing

Overview

Join our Engineering Services team as a technical leader in Safety and Licensing, supporting domestic and international operating CANDU reactors. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact nuclear engineering work that enables safe, reliable operation and long-term performance of nuclear generating units. You will work closely with experienced engineers, project leaders, and cross-functional partners in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.

Your Role

• Lead the technical execution and overall quality of Safety and Licensing engineering scopes.
• Provide technical direction and oversight to ensure compliance with client requirements, nuclear codes, and quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate engineering activities within regulated nuclear QA programs and governance frameworks.
• Review and approve engineering documents and drawings within delegated authority.
• Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams of engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts.
• Manage priorities, risks, and interfaces to support safe and on-time project delivery.
• Promote continuous improvement through innovation, lessons learned, and effective engineering practices.

About You

• Ability to lead complex nuclear engineering scopes within Safety and Licensing environments.
• Proficiency in CANDU reactor design and nuclear safety and licensing practices.
• Aptitude for working across multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholder interfaces.
• Ability to apply sound technical judgment to deliver quality engineering work to schedule and budget.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor teams and support career development.
