Program Manager (Guelph)

Position Summary: Oversee and lead recent program launches, continuous improvement initiatives, and APQP disciplines across Arrow Off Road. Compensation: $130K-$140K. Duration: Permanent. Location: Guelph, ON. Work Schedule: 5 days on-site. Primary Responsibilities

Manages a team responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants. Responsible for operational excellence via efficient plant design. Ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality, and production. Manages all engineering projects and resolves engineering problems. Familiar with a variety of the fabrication field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Provides technical leadership in directing the efforts of a cross‑functional engineering team in the development and release of all relevant engineering deliverables in compliance with the product development process and/or customer expectations. Ensures engineering timing plans, defect/issue list, risk assessments, lessons learned are created and maintained and provides engineering status for project reviews according to program timing for all assigned projects. Modifies design of existing plant layout based on internal/external customer requirements. Initiates and drives justification for upgrades to processing, equipment and WIP to enhance system performance and value to the customer. Provides expertise in industrial engineering and process design to other departments. Understands the concepts of synchronous manufacturing and lean production manufacturing methodologies and can formulate and implement a tactical plan. Participates in continuous improvement and assists its implementation on an ongoing basis, implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve plant productivity. Assists in the commissioning of new plants/lines, equipment, and other systems to ensure efficient introduction into the production facility with minimum disruptions. Follows safe work procedures; uses appropriate PPE; uses workplace tools and equipment as instructed; reports workplace hazards, injuries, and illness as soon as possible following an event. Complies with duties and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ensures corrective action when violations occur. Follows and complies with all operational procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (ISO 14001). Performs other duties as necessary for completion of projects and achievement of departmental goals and supports business objectives. Ensures facilities are in full compliance with all safety regulations. Qualifications

Minimum bachelor’s degree in area of specialty. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the field or a related area. In‑depth knowledge of process improvement tools, product design techniques, mechanical drawing standards and GD&T. Prior experience with metal cutting, forming, welding (manual and robotic) and machining. Knowledge of Lean techniques. Ability to travel if required. EEO Statement
