Join Invermere and District Hospital as a Power Engineer and Maintenance Worker. This full-time role focuses on essential systems maintenance and operates within day shifts in beautiful Invermere, BC. This position is vital for the successful operation of the power plant and low-pressure steam plant. You will manage activities related to boilers, air conditioning units, and emergency systems while performing crucial preventative maintenance and repairs. The role includes supervising Maintenance Workers and ensuring compliance with safety codes during trades duties. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate power and steam facilities efficiently
- Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Supervise staff to enhance team efficiency
- Ensure safety codes and regulations are adhered to
- Execute trades duties, including plumbing and painting
- Grade 10 with four years related experience
- Hold a recognized 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate
- Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
