PRÉAMBULE
Le Service de police de la Ville de Sherbrooke est un service de niveau 2 comportant plusieurs spécialités, et un niveau technologique avant-gardiste. Il compte quelques 310 employés policière et policiers occupant des fonctions d'officiers-cadres, de policiers gradés ou d'agents.
La fonction d'agent s'avère très variée et enrichissante et permet d'acquérir et de développer diverses compétences en vue d'occuper d'autres fonctions policières. Le Service de police de la Ville de Sherbrooke offre d'ailleurs une grande diversité d'emplois policiers.DÉFIS PROPOSÉS
À ce titre, vos principales responsabilités consisteront à exercer des activités de patrouille et d'intervention dans le secteur qui vous est assigné en vue du maintien de la paix, de l'ordre et de la sécurité publique; répond aux appels de services qui lui sont transmis et effectue les interventions demandées; effectue certaines enquêtes relevant de sa compétence et rédige les rapports prescrits; prête assistance au citoyen qui s'adresse à lui pour fins d'information ou d'intervention réclamant sa compétence.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ
Vous êtes titulaire d'un diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) en techniques policières ainsi qu'un permis de conduire classe 4A et avoir complété avec succès le programme de formation initiale de l'École nationale de police du Québec lors de l'entrée en fonction. Vous devez également avoir réussi un test d'aptitude physique (T.A.P.) ou une épreuve standardisée d'aptitudes physiques (ESAP) dans l'année précédant le concours.
Les personnes qui déposeront leur candidature seront contactées ultérieurement par courriel afin de fournir les documents suivants : - Diplôme et relevé de notes du programme de Techniques policières;- Diplôme et relevé de notes du programme de formation initiale en patrouille-gendarmerie de l'ENPQ;
- Copie du permis de conduire classe 4A valide;
- Copie du test d'aptitude physique (T.A.P.) ou une épreuve standardisée d'aptitudes physiques (ESAP);
- Rapport d'appréciation de l'ENPQ.
