Project Manager (North York)

Role and Responsibilities

The Project Manager will plan, execute, and deliver CIPP watermain rehabilitation projects within defined deadlines, specifications, and budget. Coordinate closely with operations, subcontractors, and municipal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and client requirements specific to CIPP lining, watermain rehabilitation. Direct and manage project development from mobilization through to demobilization. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and compliance requirements in collaboration with senior management, clients, and stakeholders. Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, and critical path items specific to trenchless rehabilitation work. Proactively address changes in project scope, unforeseen site conditions, or utility conflicts, and develop contingency plans. Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and resource allocations; communicate updates to stakeholders. Deliver timely progress reports, project documentation, and status updates to internal teams and clients. Liaise with municipal inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and third‑party stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all work complies with Ontario Health & Safety legislation, company safety policies, and industry best practices (e.g., confined space entry, hot water/steam cure, chemical handling). Conduct project close‑out meetings and lessons‑learned reviews to improve future execution. Qualifications

University degree or college diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of project management experience in water/sewer infrastructure, with direct CIPP or trenchless rehabilitation experience strongly preferred. Solid understanding of CIPP processes and municipal utility standards. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and construction management tools. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams. Solid problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, site conditions, and client demands. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client correspondence, reporting, and team leadership. Knowledge of Ontario construction regulations, health & safety legislation, and municipal watermain specifications. Must be able to travel throughout Ontario and occasionally to other regions as required.
