Position Overview

Staffmax is hiring a Licensed Trailer Technician for a full-time, permanent position in Moncton, New Brunswick.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a full range of trailer maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services. This includes routine preventive maintenance as well as troubleshooting and more complex repairs. The ideal candidate is skilled, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, assess, diagnose, and repair trailers to ensure all work meets quality standards.
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on trailers and transportation equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and other equipment issues and complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems and components.
• Complete work orders accurately and provide clear explanations of work performed.
• Ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to industry standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Train and support apprentices as required.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid provincial Certificate of Qualification / Red Seal certification in the applicable trade is preferred/required.
• Strong knowledge and competency in trailer maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience in a similar position is an asset.
• Experience with fabrication and welding is an asset.
• Experience with tailgate repairs is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of ABS diagnostic software .
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and technical information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow workplace safety procedures.
