Software Development Engineer in Test

Responsibilities
- Define test strategy and performance quality gates for the platform.
- Automate the software development lifecycle from testing through deployment and validation.
- Investigate deployment issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions across environments.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test frameworks.
- Create and maintain test plans and test cases for microservices, including edge-case coverage.
- Collaborate with engineering groups on integration testing and improve testing environments.
- Define and verify safe deployment and rollback requirements.
- Write and maintain scripts that automate platform service deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Python and Pytest and modern testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of Perl and Go, with debugging experience.
- Understanding of x86 and ARM architectures.
- Knowledge of Debian packaging, apt, and dependency management.
- Linux fundamentals, especially performance tuning, plus Bash and scripting fundamentals.
- Understanding of virtualization and containerization.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack.
