Software Developer Senior Specialist - Java, Aws, Devops

We are seeking talented, resourceful, and delivery-focused software developers to join our global engineering team. These roles contribute to Java-based applications used by demanding customers across the financial securities industry, with a focus on building reliable, scalable, cloud-ready solutions. You will work with a collaborative development team using iterative delivery methods to create high-quality professional web-based and back-end server applications. The ideal candidate has strong Java engineering fundamentals, Spring Boot experience, a commitment to automated testing and code quality, and an interest in AWS modernization, CI/CD automation, and resilient production delivery. The Software Developer will partner with development, QA, DevOps, and operations teams to design, engineer, develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-enabled application solutions.Responsibilities

The role will generally work Wednesday through Sunday, from 12:00 p.M. to 8:00 p.M. Eastern Time, with Monday and Tuesday as scheduled days off. Wednesday through Friday will be worked in the office, while Saturday and Sunday will be worked remotely/from home. Candidates should be comfortable working this schedule and providing reliable operational support during these coverage periods.Skills and Experience Required
Strong Java software development experience, preferably with Spring Boot or related Spring frameworksDevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployments, and release practicesFamiliarity with repositories and build tools such as Maven, Git, GitLab, and BitbucketExperience with Angular, React, or other modern UI frameworksComfortable working in a Linux command‑line environmentScripting experience with Python, shell scripting, or similar automation languagesCloud experience with AWS services, containers, RDS, SNS/SQS, CloudFormation, and TerraformCommitment to automated testing, code quality, maintainability, and secure development practicesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teamsGood verbal and written communication skillsOptional: Experience with web servers such as JBoss, WildFly, or TomcatUnderstanding of proxies such as Apache Server or NGINXUnderstanding of TCP/IP networking conceptsExperience supporting production systems, observability, incident troubleshooting, or operational readinessCome as You Are

The base pay range for this role is $104,000 - $148,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth.
