Automotive Plastics Sales Engineer

Apply automotive plastics expertise as Axiom Group’s Technical Sales Engineer in Capac, Michigan, influencing vehicle programs through design and manufacturing knowledge.This full-time position connects Axiom with OEM engineering, design, and advanced engineering teams. You will support technical sales through injection moulding expertise, commercial awareness, customer relationships, and design-for-manufacturing improvements. The work spans early vehicle development through new automotive program acquisition.Key Responsibilities:
Build relationships with OEM engineering and design teamsInfluence part design, materials, and specifications earlyLead technical discussions, reviews, and feasibility assessmentsRecommend DFM, lightweighting, consolidation, and cost improvementsSupport quotations, proposals, and customer presentationsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering disciplineAt least 10 years in automotive industry rolesIn-depth plastic injection moulding knowledgeUnderstanding of APQP, PPAP, GD&T, DFM, and DFMEAValid passport and North American travel willingnessBring injection moulding, technical communication, and commercial problem-solving skills to Axiom Group’s OEM-focused sales team.
