Location: Scarborough, ON

Work Arrangement: Onsite 5 days in office

Employment Type: Temporary / Contract

Length of Contract: 12+ months (High Possibility to convert Permanent)

Overview

The VBA Programming and Automation Specialist role provides assistance with engineering documentation tools and design automation used within the Drafting team. The position focuses on maintaining and supporting existing automation utilities and improving efficiency in documentation‑related workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain existing VBA‑based automation tools
• Assist with minor updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting of internal tools
• Help document automation processes, logic, and workflows
• Support engineering and drafting teams with data‑driven documentation tasks
• Collaborate with designers to improve efficiency of repetitive processes

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related program
• Working knowledge of VBA (Excel‑based or engineering tool environments)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to document technical processes clearly and accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Excel automation or scripting
• Interest in engineering tools, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
