Director of Business Development, Aerospace

Lead strategic growth initiatives in the Canadian defense and aerospace market as the Director of Business Development. This on-site position in Ottawa focuses on revenue growth and market expansion. As a senior member reporting to the Vice President, this role aims to enhance the company's presence in the Canadian defense sector. You will identify and capture new business opportunities while fostering long-term customer relationships and partnerships. Your expertise in defense procurement and industry trends will be crucial in guiding executive recommendations and ensuring a successful opportunity pipeline. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute long-term business development strategies
Maintain a multi-year qualified opportunity pipeline
Conduct market assessments to identify customer needs
Monitor changes within Canadian defense procurement
Lead the business development lifecycle from capture planning to award

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
10+ years in business development within the defense sector
5+ years in leadership roles
Strong knowledge of Canadian defense procurement processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
