Senior Procurement Specialist Qinetiq

Lead complex sourcing and supplier negotiations as a Senior Purchaser with QinetiQ in Medicine Hat, Alberta, working full-time permanently on-site. Apply advanced procurement expertise across technical requirements and supply risks.This Senior Purchaser independently manages procurement activities supporting production and operational requirements. The position covers requisitions, sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, deliveries, and issue resolution. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Operations, and the QTS Supply Chain Manager.Key Responsibilities:
Manage requisitions, sourcing activities, purchase orders, and supplier deliveriesLead RFP/RFQ activities and supplier commercial negotiationsEvaluate technical compliance, quality, delivery, risk, and total costResolve purchasing, delivery, quality, and order issuesMonitor supplier performance, risks, metrics, and corrective actionsRequirements:
Diploma or degree in supply chain, commerce, operations, or related disciplineSeven-plus years managing complex procurement or sourcing requirementsExperience with competitive sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and recommendationsERP/MRP experience within manufacturing or operational environmentsEligibility for Canadian security clearance and background screeningBring strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, supplier management, and analytical decision-making skills to QinetiQ’s Medicine Hat procurement team.
