Join Amazon's AI Center of Excellence as an Applied Scientist, dedicated to developing advanced AI/ML primitives. In this role, you will identify key problems, design verification experiments, and translate research breakthroughs into scalable components. Your work will enable product teams to leverage AI for enhanced performance and operational efficiency across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Research and innovate AI/ML primitives using rigorous methods
- Collaborate with product teams to define and solve complex problems
- Translate research into practical, production-ready solutions
- Execute experiments to ensure the effectiveness of AI primitives
- Publish findings to drive knowledge sharing within the team
- PhD in Machine Learning, AI, or related field
- Programming proficiency in Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with scientific evaluation methods
- Strong skills in experimental design
- Proven ability to apply research at production scale
