Our client is a leading organization within the oil & gas and heavy industrial sector, supporting large-scale operations in Fort McMurray. They are currently seeking an Equipment Strategy Contractor to join their Reliability Engineering team, focused on improving asset performance, maintenance strategy, and operational reliability. This is a high-impact role working directly with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to optimize equipment strategies using industry-leading reliability methodologies and systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically strong team in a site-based environment where your work directly influences equipment reliability, safety, and long-term asset performance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Develop and refine Equipment Strategies using GE APM and RCM/ASM methodologies
Perform criticality analysis and failure mode evaluations to improve asset reliability
Optimize preventive and condition-based maintenance programs
Analyze equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams on strategy execution
Support backlog reviews, risk-based decisions, and maintenance planning improvements
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Your background in Reliability, Maintenance, or Asset Strategy Engineering will help you thrive in this role
Strong analytical skills to interpret asset performance and drive meaningful improvements
Experience working in oil & gas, mining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments
Familiarity with RCM, ASM, or RBI methodologies used to build effective maintenance strategies
Your ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams will make you highly effective in this environment
Comfort working with systems like GE APM (or ability to learn quickly)
