Delivery Driver/Pharmacy Assistant

Loucks Medi-Health Pharmacy Ltd is looking for a casual Delivery Driver/Pharmacy Assistant (Student) to join our team in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

This casual position is an excellent opportunity for a high school student seeking work experience!

In addition to their primary responsibilities, the successful candidate will assist with Pharmacy Assistant duties as needed. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Delivery Driver - Responsibilities

• Perform pickups and deliveries of medications and medical supplies throughout Yorkton and area.
• A company vehicle will be made available for delivery purposes.
• Ensure the safety and proper condition of the company vehicle
• Complete required daily reports, ensuring delivery slips are signed and submitted
• Handle daily bank deposits and ensure all outgoing mail is properly postmarked and sent
• Maintain accurate monthly delivery records and totals

Pharmacy Assistant - Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly customer service by greeting all customers and handling inquiries courteously
• Operate the cash register, stock shelves, tidy aisles, and support various front-store tasks
• Ensure store cleanliness and organization, including performing light janitorial duties and maintaining displays
• Follow store policies on security and shoplifting
• Monitor cash levels, anticipate change needs, and request pickups when necessary
• Develop strong product knowledge, stay informed about new items, and maintain awareness of store layout
• Merchandise products effectively using shelf labels, rotation, and facing techniques
• Manage allocated sections and notify buyers of out-of-stock items
• Assist in inventory maintenance and support reordering processes
• Support seasonal displays and promotional setups
• Handle difficult customer situations with tact and escalate complaints as needed
• Report customer feedback and concerns to the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager
• Remain productive between customer interactions
• Assist the Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator with various tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Hold a valid provincial driver’s licence with a safe driving record.
• Driver’s abstract (dated within 30 days) required
• Trustworthy and dependable, with a high level of professionalism
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team members
• Ability to follow procedures and guidelines accurately
• Ability to lift and maneuver large packages

Schedule

• Up to 9 to 12 hours per week on a casual basis.
• Regular shifts will typically be scheduled Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional Saturday shifts from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
