Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre is welcoming a full-time Client Care Specialist to join our team. We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets.

About The Role
The role of the Client Care Specialist (CCS) is to strengthen the client, animal, and veterinary bond through exceptional client service and education. Your role is vital to the success of our hospital! You are the first and last point of contact and have the ability to leave a lasting impression building trust and loyalty with our clients. Your responsibility is to enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team. Your primary goal is to ensure the clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated.
Desired Attributes And Requirements
The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure and customer service focused, ideally you have:
- Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties
- Prior knowledge/or ability to learn medical terminology and VCA Woofware
- Exceptional client service skills
- Empathetic, nurturing, and positive attitude
- Skilled in prioritizing needs, open to change, and adaptable
- Initiative in carrying out assignments independently
- Attention to detail with above-average time management skills
- Must be flexible and available to work shift work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will start at 6am on any given day
- Previous veterinary experience or graduate from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is preferred
