What your day looks like

• Respond to inquiries via telephone, email, or chat on Qtrade Direct Investing (QDI) products and services in an efficient, compliant, courteous, and professional manner
• Manage order flow for online trading from self‑directed clients
• Act as primary contact for resolving problem and complaint inquiries, initiating investigations, recording details, referring to relevant departments, and conducting follow‑up
• Stay current with market trends and news items that may affect markets and impact client investment decisions
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying, suggesting, and actively participating in process improvement
• Apply department operating policies and procedures consistently

Requirements

• Post‑secondary education preferred in business or economics, or equivalent education/experience
• Completion of Canadian Securities (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) required
• 1–3 years experience as Investment Representative in Direct Investing supporting client trade orders, a Financial Advisor, or Associate Advisor ideal
• 2–3 years related work experience in financial services industry in a customer‑facing or call‑centre role
• Options Licensing Course & Derivatives Fundamentals Course (DFOL) required within 6 months of hire
• Investment Representative securities registration within last two years ideal
• Ability to work in fast‑paced environment with volumes dictated by market trends, client demands, and seasonal peaks
• Positive attitude and excitement for learning new tasks and skills to keep up with changing environments/duties
• Adaptability to change – hours and schedule sometimes change
• Fluent written and spoken English and French required for communication with partners, clients, and colleagues across Canada

Salary

This position has an expected salary range of $68,000 – $78,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
