Position overviewThe Kamloops Food Bank is seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee the organization's warehouse, transportation, logistics, food recovery, and distribution functions.
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for operational planning, team leadership, performance oversight, financial stewardship, food safety, occupational health and safety, and the effective use of facilities and resources.
The Director ensures that operational activities support the organization's mission, strategic priorities, and commitment to providing safe, reliable, and dignified food distribution to individuals and community partners.
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to lead teams and manage complex logistics in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Qualifications and leadership competenciesExperienceThe successful candidate will have significant supervisory and management experience (8+ years) in warehousing, logistics, transportation, distribution, or a related operational field.

Working conditionsThe position is based primarily on-site at the Kamloops Food Bank facility, with off-site work as required. The role involves working in warehouse environments, including standing, walking, and lifting during operational hours.
