Area Manager – Home Healthcare (St.John’s, NL)

Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada seeks an Area Manager to lead business development and operations in the respiratory and sleep apnea business segments. The role focuses on revenue growth, market expansion, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and increase market share across branches.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and contracts to expand respiratory services and patient base.
• Achieve territory financial targets and KPIs for oxygen and sleep apnea businesses.
• Build strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, sleep clinics, and industry partners to grow the B2B sales model and referral network.
• Lead and manage a team of employees across multiple branches, setting clear expectations and conducting performance management.
• Ensure all operations comply with internal policies, external regulations, GMP, and safety requirements.
• Drive referrals from key accounts and referral sources while maintaining patient care excellence.
• Schedule team for efficient coverage of the territory, including on‑call rotation for off‑hours and weekends.
• Collaborate with Operations and Clinical Managers to maintain product, asset, and inventory integrity and staff training.
• Recruit new staff when approved with support from Human Resources.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–8 years of experience supervising employees in a business or clinical setting.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Financial acumen with focus on P&L accountability.
• Relationship building and B2B sales expertise.
• Customer‑focused with emphasis on referral marketing.
• Valid Driver’s License (Class B).
• English/French bilingual is an asset.
