Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Consultant - Hydro to join our clients' team on a long-term contract basis. As a Senior Data Consultant - Hydro, you will be responsible for providing expert data analysis and consulting services to a hydro client in Ottawa, ON. You will work closely with the client to understand their business needs and provide them with data-driven solutions that help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and data requirements
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Develop data models and visualizations to present findings and recommendations to clients
• Bring data into an existing data lake
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions and ensure their effectiveness
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analysis and technology
• Provide guidance and support to junior data consultants on the team

Qualifications

• Experience working with data and clients in the hydro or energy industry is mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis and consulting
• Prior working experience with Snowflake, Azure Databricks and Oracle
• Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Python, and Tableau
• Experience working with data from Connexo is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
