About the Opportunity  

·  Prepare and review consolidation and corporate entries in accordance with IFRS, including: accruals accounting, capitalized interest, mortgages, derivatives, and intercompany transfers

·  Support management in researching and applying accounting policies, and assist in developing accounting guidance for significant accounting issues and transactions

· Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statement package, which includes the balance sheet, income statement, KPIs and covenants

·  Assist with the preparation of quarterly public reporting materials, including disclosures relating to debt, G&A, interest expense and other corporate accounts

·  Support the year end annual audit as well as quarterly reviews and represent a key point of contact for the audit team

·  Assist management with other ad-hoc projects as company continues to grow, including acquisitions, process improvement within financial reporting, and financial system upgrades (namely Yardi)

·  Support cash management and coordinate setup and approval of wire transfers/EFT, relating to acquisitions and operating expenses, through multiple online banking platforms

About You  

·  CPA, or working towards a CPA, with a minimum of 3 years of work experience, preferably in a large audit firm or public company environment

·  Strong knowledge of IFRS, including consolidation, financial statement and MD&A preparation, and public reporting

·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; strong Excel skills required

Salary Range  

$80,000 - $100,000 / year
