- Charger et décharger de la marchandise
- Conduire des camions ou des ensembles articulés pour transporter des marchandises ou des matériaux
- Surveiller l'état des véhicules et effectuer l'inspection des pneus, des phares, des freins, du matériel d'entreposage frigorifique et autre équipement
- Régler les freins
- Effectuer des réparations d'urgence le long de la route
- Inspecter les camions avant, pendant et après le voyage et surveiller tous les aspects des véhicules
- Effectuer l'entretien préventif
- Recevoir et transmettre l'information au répartiteur central
- Noter l'information sur les cargaisons, les heures de service, les distances parcourues et la consommation d'essence
- Bâcher et assurer la sûreté et sécurité de la cargaison
- Autorisation d'utiliser les freins à air comprimé
- Permis de conduire (Classe 1 ou A)
- Carnet de route du conducteur
- Rapport d'inspection (avant le départ, en route et après le voyage)
- Rapports sur l'entretien et les réparations
- Compte rendu de voyage
- Camion à plate-forme
- Tracteur semi-remorque
- Tracteur semi-remorque, train double de type B
- Utiliser un système de positionnement global (SPG) et d'autres matériels de navigation
- Passeport valide
- Vérification de casier judiciaire
- Test de dépistage de drogues
