Lead Full Stack Developer

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a hands-on Lead Full Stack Developer to support a major KYC transformation initiative within a large banking environment. This role will focus on both modernizing existing applications and developing new applications and functionality from the ground up. The ideal candidate has strong experience across Java/Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS, with the ability to provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in coding and delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead development across both application modernization and new-build initiatives.
Design and build new applications, services, and functionality from the ground up.
Modernize and enhance existing KYC applications.
Develop solutions using Java/Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS.
Guide developers on coding standards, design patterns, testing, and deployment.
Partner with Solution Architects to translate architecture into technical implementation.
Build and support APIs and integrations between legacy, modernized, and newly developed components.
Participate throughout solution design, development, testing, and production deployment.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop scalable solutions.
Skills and Requirements
6+ years of Java/Spring Boot development.
Strong AWS development and Angular experience.
Experience with both enterprise application modernization and new application development/new builds.
Previous Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or senior hands-on development experience.
Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, application architecture, and SDLC.
Experience with Agile delivery and Jira.
Ability to lead technically while remaining hands-on with code.
Experience within a large enterprise banking environment.
KYC, AML, or commercial banking experience.
PostgreSQL.
AI development or AI integration experience.
Cloud migration, rehosting, or redeployment experience.
