Payroll Specialist with Compliance Focus

Drive payroll excellence at Meridian as a Payroll Specialist in a flexible hybrid work model. You will be instrumental in managing complex payroll processes and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Your expertise will assist in coordinating all aspects of payroll administration, including legislative compliance and employee communication. By fostering relationships within the HR and Finance teams, you will ensure timely and accurate payroll operations. This position requires a meticulous approach and dedication to providing a seamless employee experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Execute full payroll cycle and compliance checks
• Collaborate with external vendors for payroll services
• Produce accurate payroll reports and government documents
• Assist with Employee Experience policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in operations

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant payroll experience in HR
• Completed Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification
• Detailed knowledge of CRA regulations and payroll practices
• Strong analytical skills and financial reporting capabilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
