The Pipeline Integrity Engineer/Technologist completes analysis of Inline Inspection data for corrosion threats on gas transmission pipelines and supports integrity program planning, pipeline failure investigation, excavation programs, procedure development and audits.What you’ll do
Review, analyze, and conduct pipeline anomaly analysis utilizing direct assessment, in-line inspection, pressure test, and other assessment data to propose remedial or follow up actionsPerform advanced quantitative risk analysis (likelihood of failure, consequence modeling, corrosion growth, etc.)Perform Engineering Assessments to determine the continued safe operation of the pipelineDevelop and support excavation programsProvide technical support to internal stakeholders as requiredSupport or lead audit program related to corrosion threats, including interacting with regulatory agenciesAssist internal response to pipeline failures and root cause investigationsSupport project development, planning, and budget programsAssist the team in tracking and completion of work related to the expedited ECA programOther tasks as required.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institutionMust be registered, or eligible for registration in the future, as a professional member with APEGA (Calgary candidates only)4+ years of related experienceExperience in pipeline integrity with gas transmission pipeline systemsEvidence of excellent analytical and decision-making skillsProven ability to work and contribute in a team environment, as well as ability to maintain individual accountability and decision making with technical justificationPreferred Qualifications
