Senior Mobile Engineer (Android)

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and design to define problems, shape solutions, write specifications, and take projects from concept through launch.
• Build and refine systems that source, match, target, and surface personalized offers based on customer value, relevance, and business outcomes.
• Own Android development while contributing to iOS or backend work when appropriate.
• Use AI coding tools and agents to accelerate cross-stack code generation, spec-driven development, and iteration.
• Translate customer needs and business goals into technical solutions and use data to guide product and engineering decisions.
• Run and instrument A/B tests, targeting logic, funnels, and retention experiments to validate offer effectiveness.
• Design and implement APIs with backend engineering partners.
• Develop scalable application architecture and guide app development and testing strategies.
• Create unit and UI automation tests and ensure new code meets product requirements.
• Act as a technical lead by owning outcomes and projects end-to-end while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
• 4+ years of industry experience building, shipping, and maintaining mobile applications at scale with a strong Android focus.
• Experience owning projects end-to-end and mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
• Willingness to work across Android, iOS, and backend stacks.
• Experience using AI coding tools and agents as part of development workflows.
• Fluency in Kotlin and strong understanding of reactive and functional programming paradigms, including Coroutines, Flow, and RxJava.
• Experience with modern Android architectures such as MVVM, MVI, MVP, and Clean Architecture, plus Jetpack components.
• Deep understanding of Android UI frameworks, including XML layouts and Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices across coding standards, code reviews, Git workflows, automated testing, and mobile release operations.
• Strong product judgment, customer focus, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with mobile analytics and experimentation tools such as Amplitude, feature flags, and A/B testing frameworks is preferred.
• Familiarity with identity verification, authentication, and authorization protocols is preferred.
• Familiarity with iOS or backend development is a significant plus.
