We are looking for a clinically experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for learning and teaching to join our dynamic Rural Clinical Nurse Educator Team. The successful candidate will provide education support to nursing staff at the Drayton Valley Hospital. A highlight of this position is the opportunity to engage with Drayton Valley's high-fidelity Simulation (SIM) Lab, developed in partnership with the eSIM Provincial Simulation Program and the University of Calgary Rural Nursing Program. CNEs will play an integral role in delivering and supporting simulation-based learning experiences while advancing site-based education initiatives through this state-of-the-art learning environment.

As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years RN experience. Progressive leadership experience. OR experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Adult education experience is an asset. Experience working in a rural healthcare setting Any related instructor certifications - CTAS, ACLS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC are an asset Strong working knowledge or connect care preferred Virtual education teaching experience an asset
