General Manager - Theatres and Critical Care (TACC)

Job Overview

We are seeking a General Manager – Theatres and Critical Care for the South Sector. The role is responsible for delivery of TACC Acute Medicine provision, patient flow model, and strategic & operational delivery of the Service. You will report to the Interim Director and work with clinical and non‑clinical teams across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Sectors Theatres and Critical Care (TACC) Acute Medicine provision and patient flow model.
  • Accountable for strategic and operational delivery and development of the Service.
  • Ensure clear focus on delivery of high‑quality, safe, efficient patient‑centred services.
  • Collaborate with other Sector General Managers to maximise resources and deliver patient care efficiently.
  • Lead development of a patient‑focused culture, encouraging initiative, responsibility and open communication.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant senior‑level operational management experience in a healthcare or equivalent complex environment.
  • Strong influencing and leadership qualities with ability to inspire confidence.
  • Experience delivering in a politically sensitive and demanding environment.
