With over 20 years of utility engineering experience, you will provide technical leadership across projects from high-voltage substations to renewable energy systems. This role expects you to uphold automation standards and mentor junior and senior engineers while providing solutions to complex engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on automation protection
- Set standards for high‑voltage substation projects
- Provide technical approval on critical project deliverables
- Lead design reviews and risk assessments
- Mentor engineering staff for continuous improvement
- 20+ years of experience in utility engineering
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer registration in Canada
- Expertise in substation protection and scoring
- Knowledgeable about DNP3, IEC 61850 protocols
