Senior Recreation Infrastructure Planning Role

Elevate outdoor experiences in Alberta as a Senior Capital Infrastructure Planner with the Government of Alberta. This full-time role emphasizes planning excellence and community collaboration. This permanent position requires a Bachelor's degree in planning, engineering, or related discipline along with experience in capital planning and park development. Your focus will be on integrating visitor experience with operational efficiencies in planning efforts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute field assessments to identify recreation opportunities
  • Create facility master plans for parks and outdoor areas
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and events
  • Manage project consultants for comprehensive planning services
  • Explore innovative strategies for enhancing park facilities
Requirements:
  • Degree in planning or a similar field combined with relevant experience
  • Expertise in public engagement and dispute resolution
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Awareness of outdoor recreation policies is beneficial
  • Experience navigating remote terrain and weather conditions
