Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mass Spectrometry

This position within the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences is set to begin in January 2027. The role requires candidates to possess a PhD in Earth Science or a related field, with no more than five years of postdoctoral experience. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining specialized instruments and preparing research publications.

Key Responsibilities: • Operate and troubleshoot the SapphireXD CRC‑MC‑ICP‑MS/MS instrument • Train research staff and graduate students on usage • Conduct collaborations with manufacturers on performance • Develop stable-metal isotope techniques for research • Present findings at national and international conferences

Requirements: • PhD in Earth Science or related field • Up to 5 years of postdoctoral experience • Direct experience with MC‑ICP‑MS techniques • Strong communication skills in English • Commitment to EDI principles
