Annual Term Duration: Seasonal - April to October Do you have a passion for working outdoors? The District of Saanich, the largest municipality on Vancouver Island, has a diverse parks system with over 170 parks and natural areas and over 100 kms of trails. The Parks Division is seeking multiple casual Parks Workers to perform a variety of manual tasks in the management and enhancement of park areas in any of the following sections: Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Natural Areas, Construction and Maintenance. The Parks Worker I will perform activities such as general plant health care, tree planting, turf management, irrigation repair, and overall park maintenance. Other tasks related to carpentry and landscape construction include the installation and structural maintenance of playgrounds, buildings, park structures, signs, drainage, trails, and other parks related infrastructure.
