Position Summary

The Facility Team Leader, in partnership with Co- or Assistant Team Leader, and under the Facility Director, provides leadership to the Facility Team and oversees the day-to-day functions of the facility at Soul Sanctuary (“Soul”). The Facility Team Leader position is a 24-40 hours per week position and can be a part-time or more full-time position, depending on the candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and mentorship to the facility team
• Communicates any concerns or issues with facility team members to Facility Director
• Responds quickly to any concerns of issue with a Facility Team Member, offering immediate feedback and correction as needed
• Provides performance management in partnership with Facility Director
• Fosters a culture of teamwork and ownership with the facility team, leading with a positive attitude and willing to embrace the core values of Soul Sanctuary
• Oversees the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility
• Manages the daily work of the facility team
• Provides training for facility team members
• Utilizes training manuals, proactively suggests edits or updates. Informs team of any changes
• Ensures that checklists are robust and meet the needs of each day, according to what is going on in the Facility
• Ensures that team members checklists are fi lled out and handed in at the end of each shift.
• Willingness to learn and administrate facility team scheduling, providing schedules to team members two weeks in advance, if tasked by the Facility Director
• Ensures our facility is clean and welcoming
• Ensures a standard of excellence in the area of hospitality, ensuring that all facility team members are being proactive and visible hosts
• Maintains open communication with Co- or Assistant Team Leader, Facility Director and Executive Pastor during weekly meetings and as needs arise
• Under the direction of the Facility Director, performs regular maintenance in the building, including a monthly maintenance building walk through.
• Ensures that a weekly interior and exterior building inspection is completed
• Has an extensive knowledge of what is scheduled in the building each week and provides any set up requirements to the Facility team at least two days in advance.
• Willingness to learn and administrate ordering regular cleaning supplies, if tasked by the Facility Director
• Actively lead and participate in ensuring a level of detail in execution and intentionality in communicating areas of improvement
• Responsibilities may include picking up needed supplies and materials or facility related errands
• All other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$18.50 per hour

• Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
• Custodial: 2 years (preferred)
• Supervising/Leadership: 2 years (preferred)
